Originally, the end of our tour was to stop at Moorpark. After making some connections in Sacramento, the staff at Oxnard College, including America Barroso, made the impossible happen by allowing us to continue our tour for another two weeks. With about a week of planning we were able to have an event that appeared to have been planned for well over a year. We couldn’t have been happier with the results. Dozens of classes came to witness and worked on projects involving our mission. Congratulations to Oxnard College for proving that, with a lot of help and determination, big things can happen in very little time. Special thanks also goes to Israel Lopez and the students at the Veterans Resource Center for volunteering with us each day.
