From The Artist – Update on Silent Battle!

“Silent Battle is ready to pour,” the word came from the foundry. Chris Hansen from Channel 9 news in Denver met me there, as he is filming the whole story. The work has just begun at the foundry. Sculpting is only the first step to bring Silent Battle to the Eyes of Freedom. Once the mold is made, it goes to the foundry where it then takes about four months to complete Bronze casting is  hot, heavy and labor intensive work, but the ancient technique of lost wax can’t be beat. Even a fingerprint will be captured in the bronze. Silent Battle will be an edition of 10, with the first and original to travel with the Eyes of Freedom.
We hope that when it’s unveiled this sculpture will bring comfort to those families affected by post traumatic stress. Stay tuned for more updates.
