The Ohio Aggregates & Industrial Minerals brought us back home for a two-day convention held in the Easton Hilton. Hundreds of convention attendees took the time out of their busy schedule to view the EoF and ask many great questions. This convention brought on a task that we have never done before. During the OAIMA convention was taking place, some folks from the Ohio Events and Festivals Association came in to preview the area. They were to set up for their convention next. We originally were going to pack up and leave on the 14th at the conclusion of the convention that asked us to be there. However, once the OEFA folks viewed the memorial, they asked then made arrangements to have us stay for their two-day convention. Normally we wouldn’t be able to do this as we would have to be in another city soon after. It just so happens that we had some available time and were able to adhere to the request of the second convention. We also were able to attend their banquet where Mike Strahle and Jody Davids, EoF’s board president, were able to address the crowd and share stories about the reason we do what we do. It ended up being another successful event full of surprise and honor.
