Visiting a state like Wyoming is something the Eyes of Freedom team thought would happen much later in our history. We didn’t have contacts there. We rarely met anyone from the state during our travels across the country. This all changed last year when we attended the W.A.V.E.S. Conference in Phoenix and we met Nick Whipps of Casper College. After some heavy planning from Nick and his team, we were finally able to visit the wonderful state of Wyoming. The coldest (29 degrees) and longest (185 miles) escort in our history took place thanks to the ultra brave Wyoming Patriot Guard Riders (special thanks to John Petley) who escorted us from Cheyenne to Casper. A few stops in between brought local school kids out to cheer us on while waving flags and chanting ,”U.S.A.!” as we continued north.

We were welcomed into Casper and Casper College in very powerful, emotional and incredibly patriotic way. A level truly never seen by the Eyes of Freedom. Local resident Vincent Palazzoio put together an amazing video of our welcome into town which can be viewed by clicking this link.

Once the exhibit was set up, the largely attended opening ceremony took place which included Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, who spent time learning about our mission with all the locals. Throughout the week, several powerful moments were witnessed by the college staff and the EoF team, making this one event we will never forget.

After the event ended, we said our goodbyes and the Patriot Guard escorted the Eyes of Freedom all the way back to Colorado. The level of dedication that was displayed in Wyoming was next level. We can’t wait to return to this state and can’t thank everyone that made this event more powerful than we could have ever imagined.
