Black Bear Casino on July 7th – 10th in Carlton, Minnesota

Our third visit to the Duluth, Minnesota area brought us back to Black Bear Casino where we were on display adjacent to one of the traveling versions of the Vietnam Wall. While there were many friends that we had the chance to reconnect with, it was the newer faces that we really made an impact with. Brian Zimmerman, who provided most of the inspiration for the new Silent Battle bronze sculpture that is being made (and will travel with the EoF once it’s finished), brought in dozens of veterans from the tri-state area to experience the memorial with hopes that it would help them as it did himself. Another powerful highlight was the surprise visit from two different Generals who were truly moved by the exhibit. Once again, the Duluth area provided us with some memories we will never forget.
